Festetics Castle

The Festetics Castle in Keszthely is one of the most impressive castle complexes in Hungary, which offers 6 permanent exhibitions (Hunting Exhibition) in 5 buildings. From the mid-1700s, it was the home of the Festetics family for 200 years, who played a significant role in the political, economic, cultural and scientific development of Hungary.

Balaton Museum

The building of the Balaton Museum in Keszthely is home to the most comprehensive collection in Lake Balaton. With more than a dozen permanent and several temporary exhibitions, and around 380,000 works of art, the museum is open all year round, interactive, child-friendly and perfect for families.

The Benedictine Abbey of Tihany

Little Balaton Visitor Center

Lake Kis-Balaton is a landscape area south-west of Lake Balaton, rich in natural and cultural values, a significant part of which is protected. The Kányavári Island is the only area in the Kis-Balaton region that can be visited freely all year round without a guide. The small island is reached via a special wooden bridge. On the island, the National Park Directorate has established the Búbos Vöcsök (Búbos Crickets) nature trail.
